Class 16 [Also in Group XVI] An address-printing plate 1 made of zinc, aluminium or the like with hollow folded over guiding flanges 2, 3 on both its longitudinal edges, one of these guiding flanges 3 being provided with a number of insertion slots 7 arranged side by side for tabs 9 which are to be mounted on the plate, is characterized in that on the printing side of the plate 1, in the flange 3 with the slots 7, an opening 5 extending in the longitudinal direction of the plate is provided, for the insertion of an indicator strip 6. The opening 5 is provided by limiting the extent of the folded part 4 of the flange 3. The part 4 is provided with stamped impressions 10 so as to limit the width of the insertion slots 7 to that of the tabs 9. The flange 3 is provided with shield-shaped holes 13 with which the tabs may engage. The tabs 9 are provided with feet 8 having resilient tongues 14 thereon which engage after insertion of the tabs 9 into one of the slots 7 with the upper edge of a hole 13 or the inner edge of the stamped impression 10. In a further embodiment the tabs may have two feet, one of which is provided with a resilient tongue 14 Fig. 10, (not shown) and the tabs may have circular projections thereon which engage semi-circular slots formed in the flange 3, the tabs being thereby held in position and locked by the action of the tongue 14 against the flange 3, Figs. 8 and 9, (not shown). The indicator strip 6 is mounted between flaps 12 stamped out of the flange 3, and holes may be provided in the flange 3 to facilitate removal of the strip 6. The flange 3 may also be provided with distance maintaining projections to maintain the strip 6 at the required distance from the flange 3 so as not to impede the insertion of the tabs 9 and to enable the correct width to be determined between the flange 3 and the folder part 4.
