Abstract

673,666. Razor blade magazines. AMERICAN SAFETY RAZOR CORPORATION. April 19, 1949 [Oct. 29, 1948], No. 10333/49. Class 18. A magazine for double edged slotted blades comprises a sliding cover which is retracted to engage and advanced to partially eject the uppermost blade. The cover may have two blade-engaging protuberances, one, 11, normally retaining the blades below the level of a locating post 30, but in the retracted position of the cover, engaging the rear end of the uppermost blade to advance it. The other protuberances, one, 44, normally retaining the part of the blade slot when the cover is retracted. A spring 32 feeds the blades upwardly. The magazine is charged with the assistance of guide rods, for which apertures 49 are provided in the case 26. The cover is snapped over flanges 28 on the case. Lugs 42 on the cover and recesses in the case limit the movement of the cover.
