Abstract

720,439. Printing plate tabs. ADREMA MASCHINENBAU GES. Sept. 23, 1952 [Oct. 5, 1951], No. 23807/52. Class 16. [Also in Group XVI] A flat tab 1 for insertion in address printing plates is provided with projections spring protruded towards both sides of the tab, the projection being provided by a spring tongue or tongues formed in the foot or feet 2 of the tab within an aperture 4 in the foot or feet. As shown in Figs. 1 and 1a the tongue 5 is provided with a wider top portion bent obliquely to the plane of the tab so that the opposite edges 5<SP>1</SP>, 511 project on opposite sides of the tab. As shown in Fig. 2 the spring projections are formed by splitting a single tongue portion into two parts 7, 71. The tab may also be constructed (Fig. 3a) of two limb portions united at the head end 1 and folded together the foot portion 2 of each limb being provided with spring tongues 8, 8<SP>1</SP>. In a further embodiment the tab may be provided with two foot portions 2 each having a single spring protruded tongue, Fig. 4 (not shown. )
