Abstract

874,907. Paper clips. CHAUN, K. W. Oct. 11, 1957 [Oct. 22, 1956], No. 32448/56. Class 44. A paper clip is formed of a length of resilient wire which is bent to form a front part of U-shape which is adapted to engage the front face of a sheaf of papers to which the clip is fitted and a pair of rear parts of U- shape which are adapted to engage the back of the sheaf, the outer side limbs A of the rear parts being joined by bends in the wire to the side limbs B of the front part and the inner side limbs H of the rear parts being located adjacent each other, wherein the side limbs of the front part are located between and are adapted to press the paper between the limbs of the respective rear parts of the clip and wherein the inner limbs of the rear parts are adapted to engage and press the paper between the limbs of the front part. The limbs B of the front part are bent so that a portion of each is aligned with the limbs of the rear part and the base C is bent to allow easy insertion of the paper.
