Abstract

Sodium polyphosphates are prepared by heating a dry intimate mixture of mono- and disodium phosphates obtained by drying a solution containing both phosphates and containing sodium sulphate which may be added either to the solution or to the dry mixture. The dry mixture may be obtained from the solution by treatment on roller driers or by a spraying process. The heating process may be carried out with or without fusion.
