Abstract
Adenosine polyphosphoric acids in the form of their salts, e.g sodium adenosine triphosphate, are stabilized by mixing therewith a basically reacting substance in amount sufficient to produce in solution a pH of at least 7.5. Suitable substances are pyrophosphates, borates, glycocoll, and basic buffer mixtures such as a borate or glycocoll mixture. The basic substances are generally added to solutions of the polyphosphate but a dry mixture may be obtained by joint crystallization from solution.
