Class 136(1) A lashing for securing- motor-cycles in transport vehicles such as aircraft comprises a part 3 shaped to fit over the saddle which is connected by two adjustable lines 4, 5 to points 8, 9 on the floor 2 forwardly of the saddle and a chock 11 which engages the front and sides of the front wheel and is secured to the floor by quick release pins. The part 3 is connected by a universal joint 12 to an arm 13 which is pivoted at 14 to a side wall 15 of the freight compartment. The arm 13 is formed of two telescopic members so that it is adjustable in length. Lateral displacement of the rear wheel is prevented by a pair of side guards or a channel section member 10.
