Abstract
240,770. Hill, J. June 22, 1925. Couplings for road vehicles.-A cycle trailer coupling which allows the necessary freedom and supports the cycle in all positions when at rest comprises a vertical member 3 mounted over the rear wheel of the cycle and a sleeve 5 mounted on ball-bearings on the member 3 and provided with cross-arms 8 to which the trailer 13 is connected by screws 10. The cross-arms 8 have flanged ends 9 slotted at 15 to embrace pins 16 on the trailer 13 with clearance so that when the cycle is out of line with the trailer it is free to heel over but cannot fall even when at right angles with the trailer. The connecting bars 13 of the trailer are themselves flexible.
