Class 103(v) A tractor-trailer coupling comprise: a draw bar con nected at one enc to the tractor anc at two points along its length to the trailer in such a manner that draught forces tend to move the tractor end of the draw bar downwardly and thereby increase the tractor rear wheel, loading. As shown in Fig. 1, a draw bar 4 is connected to a tractor 2 by a coupling 3 and is pivoted at 13, 14 to the ends of links 8, 9, the other ends of which are pivoted at 11, 12 to a member 7 on the trailer 5. Various other embodiments, Figs. 2, 4-7, (not shown), are illustrated in which the links are adjustable in length and point of connection, telescopic or resilient. In Fig. 3 pins 19, 18 on the draw bar sliding slots 15, 16 in a member 20 attached to the trailer replace the links 8, 9 and produce the desired weight transfer to the tractor rear wheels.
