Class 146(3) A solid feed-bar 1 is provided with a longitudinal ink duct 8 and a plurality of deep tranverse slots 4 extending across the outer side of the feed bar, and partially through the thickness of the bar, such that the minimum depth of each slot is substantially two-thirds the thickness of the bar. The slots accommodate ink and render the feed-bar flexible.
