Abstract

681,834. Reservoir pens. HEWITT, F. Nov. 8, 1950. [March 31, 1950] No. 8052/50. Class 146 (iii). A reservoir pen, especially for lettering and other line-work, comprises a preferably transparent body portion 1 containing ink or marking liquid and fitted with a detachable element 8 housing a rotatable marking roller 13 extending transversely of the body portion, the rollers being retained axially in the element 8 by a clip 14. The ink supplied to the roller may be stored in a straight or tortuous bore 4, or a plurality of bores in the portion 1 ; the bore or bores may be of capillary size. Each pen may comprise a set of elements 8 fitted with rollers of different lengths.
