Abstract
699,926. Road forms for constructing concrete roads. GRUNDY, E. K. May 15, 1952 [May 30, 1951], No. 12659/51. Class- 20 (ii) Road forms a, Figs. 1, 2, with apertured end plates f are secured end to end by a closed link h engaging the apertures in adjacent end plates, the link h being permanently anchored in the aperture of one plate f by a securing bar g, Fig. 4, threaded through the link h and welded to the plate f and releasably secured in the aperture of the other end plate by a tapered key j. The road forms have welded V-plates b, Fig. 1, to receive pegs c and tapered pins d for securing the forms to the ground, the plates b also serving to support light rails e for carrying the concrete placing and tamping apparatus. The securing bar g. Fig. 4, is recessed at g<SP>1</SP> to enable the link h to be retracted flush with or inside the outer surface of the end plate f.
