Abstract
748,961. Beams. DOW-MAC (PRODUCTS), Ltd., DOWSETT, H. L., SPENCER, C. A., and VINCE, J. H. Oct. 20, 1954 [July 23, 1953], No. 20474/53. Class 20(4). Two reinforced concrete beams 30, 31, e.g. at the corner of a building at eaves, first floor or ground floor level, are secured together by a tie-bar or plate 40 located in sockets 34, 36 in adjacent faces of the beams and held by pins 41, 42 passing, perpendicularly to the length of the beams, through holes 37, 38 in the beam and tie. A similar arrangement may be used when three beams meet in a T-junction. Specifications 748,960 and 748,962 are referred to.
