699,499. Childrens cots. ELLISON, Ltd., J. P. Dec. 29, 1952 [Dec. 29, 1951], No. 30382/51. Class 52(ii) A carry cot for infants has each of its ends stiffened by a frame C pivoted to the bottom A and when erected engaging open hems or pockets B<SP>1</SP> along the upper edges of the ends A<SP>3</SP> and also engaging stiffening rods b housed in hems B along the sides A<SP>2</SP>. The frames may comprise rods enclosed in leather or fabic sleeves c stitched at the base to the bottom A or the end frame may be a board incased in a leather or fabric case. The bottom A may be provided by a sheet of cardboard &c. D upon which a mattress is arranged. To fold the cot the end frames are folded down on to the bottom A and the sides A' and A<SP>3</SP> folded over the mattress. Looped handles are provided.
