698,145. Hypodermic syringes. HERTIG, W. Aug. 2, 1951 [June 16, 1951], No. 18343/51. Class 81 (ii). The end of the glass barrel of a syringe having. a cemented end cap is of increased diameter. In one form the barrel 1 is widened at its end 2 and the cap 4 is provided with projections. 5 so that the cement 6 is firmly gripped by both the barrel and the cap. In cases where the cap is likely to be subjected to twisting forces, the outer periphery of the end of the glass barrel may be made hexagonal or may be set eccentrically with respect to the axis of the barrel.
