697,607. Vehicle wheels. NOWAK, J. March 28, 1950 [May 23, 1949], No. 7770/50. Class 144 (ii). A wheel has an axially removable tyre-bead retaining ring 3 held in position on the rim 1 by a plurality of separate shouldered pins 4 inserted in radial holes in the rim with their shoulders abutting the outer face of the rim and forming stops preventing outward movement of the ring. The bead-retaining ring is of dish-like formation to overhang the pins 4 and thereby prevent inadvertent escape thereof from their holes. The other bead-retaining ring is prevented from outward axial displacement by a radially outward flange on the rim 1.
