Means for aligning a conveyer belt 21 comprising a roller unit built up of rollers 20 supported by brackets 24 on a base plate 25 rotatable about a vertical axis is characterised in that the lateral rollers 20 are provided with integral parts 22 of larger diameter than the parts of the rollers on which the belt normally runs. When the belt wanders to one side it presses against the bevelled face 23 of one of the rollers so as to cause the unit to pivot about a vertical axis whereby the belt is moved towards a central position. A spring 30 tends to maintain the roller unit in its normal central position.
