696,227. Bungs. GARTHWAITE, N. Nov. 14, 1951 [Oct. 4, 1950], No. 24198/50. Class 125(iii) A bung for a cask has a dished metal member 1 which fits into the bush 2 of the cask and has a hollow spindle 3 projecting through the base 4 and carrying a clamping plate 5 a resilient ring 6 being clamped between the plate 5 and the base 4 of the member 1 so as to expand and engage the area 7 around the bunghole. The spindle 3 is movable axially and carries a rotatable member 8 having cam followers 9 which engage fixed cams 10 on the member 1 and cause movement of the plates when the member 8 is rotated by a tool consisting of a disc 13 having claws 14 which enter slots 15 to engage the member 8.
