695,619. Muzzle attachments; sights. ANSTALT FUR DIE ENTWICKLUNG VON ERFINDUNGEN UND GEWERBLICHEN ANWENDUNGEN ENERGA. March 24, 1952 [April 6, 1951], No. 7562/52. Class 119 A muzzle attachment 1 for firing .a grenade 3 has a sleeve for fitting it to the end of a rifle barrel the sleeve having articulated to it a sight 2 of U-shaped cross-section so that it fits over the sleeve when folded down over it. The sight shown is pivoted at 4 to the sleeve and has projections 5, 6 which fit into recesses in the sleeve when in the operative and inoperative positions respectively. The sight has notches 7 for different ranges. As shown in Fig. 1. the sight constitutes a backsight, the selected notch being aligned with the edge of the grenade, when sighting, so that the grenade in effect functions as a foresight..
