Class 136 (i) In a cycle stand of the double sided type having wheel troughs for supporting bicycles in a nearvertical position an upper rectangular frame is supported on a lower rectangular frame by end frames secured to the cross members of such frames, said end frames comprising struts 4, 5 extending from both the upper and lower cross members 1e, 2e of the respective frames adjacent the ends thereof and secured at their other ends to a plate 6 welded or otherwise secured intermediate the height of an upright 7 connected between the upper and lower frames and welded or otherwise secured to the cross members 1c, 2c of the said frames. As shown, the lower rectangular frame consists of longitudinals 2a joined by the cross member 2e of angle iron, and the upper rectangular frame consists of longitudinals 1a, 1b, 1c, 1d joined by the cross members 1e. Uprights 7 are extended upwardly above member 1e to support between them a longitudinal 8, members la, 8 and 1d thus forming a support for a curved or inclined roof. The troughs (not shown) for the cycle wheels are secured alternately to members 2a and upstanding brackets 12 at their lower ends and to the longitudinals 1b, 1c, which may be strengthened by transverse members 1f, at their upper ends. The frame is strengthened longitudinally by a diagonal strut 13 connected between upright 7 and longitudinal 8 or alternatively by a strut connected between upright 7 and a ctoss member (not shown) in the lower frame. In an embodiment (not shown) having the latter construction the lower ends of the troughs are all secured at the same level.
