Class 106 (v) [Also in Groups V and XXIX] A container 1 is supplied with viscous liquid through a pipe 15 and has a float valve 16. The container has an outlet extension 2 carrying a rotatable spindle 6 having a bore 7; the ratio of the diameter of the bore 7 and the internal diameter of the extension 2 and also the outlet opening 10 being between one third and two thirds. The spindle carries a pulley 8 by which means it can be rotated. A heating coil surrounds the container. The apparatus may be modified so that the spindle has several bores communicating with corresponding containers. The drop of liquid cut off by rotation of the spindle falls into a hardening bath 13.
