12,622. Hornby, L. F., and Meyer, R. T. May 28. Moving-chamber apparatus; controlling passage of air.-A rotary hollow plug 1 forming the measuring-chamber has an inlet 2 and an outlet 3. In one position, the inlet 2 coincides with the supply pipe 4 so that the liquid enters the plug, a float closing the air outlet 9 when the measure is full. When the plug is rotated, the outlet 3 coincides with the outlet passage 10 and the plug is emptied. Registering and recording apparatus.-As the plug is moved from one position to the other, a pin 11 pushes one spring 12 against another spring 13, thus closing an electric circuit to operate registering or recording mechanism. According to the Provisional Specification, a paper or ribbon, upon which numerals or figures are marked, is advanced, each time the tap is turned, by means of a magnet which attracts an arm of a lever provided with pawl-andratchet driving means.
