Abstract

693,076. Dispensing liquids by gaseous pressure. NEUHAUS, F. June 1, 1951, No. 13041/51. Class 102 (ii). Apparatus for dispensing liquids from a container 1 by gaseous pressure comprises a stopper 2 through which extends the liquid discharge tube 3 and which has a passage 5 receiving a pipe 6 connected to a foot pump 13 to supply pressure air to the container. The pump is associated with inlet and delivery valves and as shown in Fig. 2, the delivery valve may be adjacent the stopper and comprise a cylindrical rubber member 15 having lips 16 contained in a sleeve 20 pressed in the stopper; the pipe 6 has an enlarged end within the member 15. A passage 7 in the stopper is fitted with an adjustable spring-loaded valve 8 to limit the pressure in the container; the valve may be operated manually by a knob 11.
