Abstract

Class 20(i) A yoke comprises a vertical bar 14 which cannot pivot, and a bar 15 adapted to be pivoted into or out of a parallel position with the bar 14 which has means, e.g. a lateral projection 20, for varying the distance between the bars 14, 15. The bar 14 is rotatable about its longitudinal axis to bring the part 20 into one of two positions relatively displaced by 180 degrees as shown. The bar 14, which is carried in a socket in a clip 16 embracing a rod 11 at its lower end, can be slid transversely between the rod 11 and an upper parallel rod 10 to permit the bar 14 to be fixed in any required vertical position, a bolt 19 and plate 18 being provided at its upper end. The bar 15 is pivoted to a bracket 23 on the rod 11 and its upper end is engaged by a member 26 on an operating rod 25 having a handle. The member 26 can be disengaged from the bar 15 so that, where a number of yokes are employed, they can be operated separately or together. A chain 24 prevents the bar 15 moving beyond the vertical.
