Class 110(iii) [Also in Groups XXVII and XXXIII] The forward inlet 11 of a pulse jet is free of valves but is provided with an interceptor 2 opposite a curved portion 3 of the inlet duct, the interceptor serving to deflect a portion of the explosion gases around the curved wall 3 into a rearwardly directed duct 13, which may be connected to the reaction nozzle 12 or the rear end of the combustion chamber 10.
