Abstract
689,530. Feeding conical cups from stacks. ANDERSEN & BRUNN'S FABRIKER AKTIESELSKAB. May 7, 1951 [Dec. 18, 1950], No. 10689/51. Class 117 [Also in Group XVII] In apparatus for separating conical cups one by one from a nested stack of cups 2 supported on an inclined channel member 1, air is blown through a series of ports 6 formed in the body 3, into the space between the foremost cup and the succeeding one 'so as to expel the foremost cup throuh the aperture 4. The stack is normally retained by a stop 5 but when air under pressure is supplied to a port 17, piston 15 is operated to raise a pivoted lever 10 and thereby the stop 5, and simultaneously lower a pad 7 to clamp the stack. At the end of the stroke of the piston air is supplied to the ports 6 via port 18 and conduit 19. The expelled cupmay pass down a guide 8 directly on to the mouth of a container e.g. a bottle 9. In a modification the stack may be arranged bottoms foremost and the ports 6 so located that the air passes between the first and second cup so as to expel the former. Separate air supplies may also be provided for operating the lever 10 and expelling the cups respectively, the latter becoming effective at the end of the piston stroke.
