Abstract

448,136. Ejectors for forging-presses. SCHULER AKT.-GES., L., G÷ppingen, and HERB, A., 20, Rosenstrasse, G÷ppingen, Wurtemberg, Germany. Dec. 7, 1934, No. 35174. [Class 83 (iv)] In ejecting hot - pressed articles from the moving die of a press an ejector pin movable in the die is operated by a lever acted on by the piston rod of a doubleacting compressed air cylinder. As shown, a lever C pivoted at i rests on an ejector pin, which is movable in an aperture f of the moving die e, the lever being capable of swinging from the position c<1> shown in dotted lines to that shown in full lines. In the latter and upper position it engages the adjustable end g of a rod d connected to the piston of a double-acting compressed air cylinder b, a valve, not shown, at the will of the operator or automatically, forces down the lever c and with it the ejector pin. A normal known type of ejector may be arranged in the lower die.
