Class 79 (v) In a cellular motor vehicle comprising a front cell and a middle cell separated from each other by a body wall of each bounding a gap between them, the steering wheel is mounted on the body wall of the middle cell and the steering gear is mounted on the body wall of the front cell and the transmission from the wheel to the gear includes at least one universal joint. As shown the motor vehicle has a front cell A having steerable wheels and a middle cell B containing the driver's space, the cells being connected together at a1, a2. The steering gear b is mounted on the rear wall c of the cell A and the steering wheel d and shaft e are mounted in a conical supporting member attached to a flange g formed on the front wall h of the cell B. The shaft e and gear bare interconnected by the universal joint i or two such joints in series.
