688,361. Electric heating. JEURLING, S. A. W. June 1, 1951 [June 5, 1950; Feb. 27, 1951], No. 13117/51. Class 39(iii) [Also in Group XXIX] A combined spray material heater and air heater for a spray gun includes a receptacle 11 for a solid body 25 to be melted, an air-heating chamber 14 surrounding it and containing an electric heating element 15, and a heat-exchanger 13 surrounding a liquid discharge tube 12 leading to the spray gun. Cold air enters the chamber at 20 and heated air passes through a passage 19 to helical channels 17 in the heatexchanger, a part of the air then passes to the receptacle through a valve-controlled inlet 21. The remainder passes to an annular passage 19<SP>1</SP> surrounding the tube 12.
