688,309. Vehicle bumpers. WILMOTBREEDEN, Ltd. July 5, 1951 [Aug. 24, 1950], No. 20943/50. Class 103 (ii). Means for attaching an over-rider to a vehicle bumper bar comprises the combination with the overrider of a plate having a key-hole slot for the reception of the head and neck of a fixing screw. In the embodiment described for the attachment of an over-rider a to a bumper bar b, a plate c is secured to the interior of the overrider and is formed, by a piercing operation, with a keyhole slot d so that the metal h may be pressed out to form a retainer for the head e of an attachment bolt f.
