Abstract

1303587 Latch strikers BOMORO BOCKLENBERG & MOTTE GmbH & CO KG 19 April 1971 [4 Feb 1970] 20677/71 Heading E2A A buffer device for use with a vehicle door latch for mounting on a supporting element 4 of a striker of a latch extends laterally from a mounting plate of the striker and for engagement with an abutment of the latch mechanism of the latch, the buffer device including a body 2 of resilient material and a wear resisting plate 3 mounted on a surface of the body and which in use cooperates with the abutment of the latch mechanism the plate being provided with interengaging stud and socket means 5, 6. In the construction shown the body is secured to the supporting element 4 by upstanding projections 7 which engage slots 8 in the element 4; each of the slots has a recess in one edge in which a portion of the projection 7 engages to prevent the buffer device being easily disengaged from the element 4; studs 5 of various shapes are disclosed and the sockets in the body are of corresponding shape.
