Abstract
687,545. Suction cleaner nozzles. AKTESELSKABET FISKER & NIELSEN. March 16, 1951 [Sept. 23, 1950], No. 6441/51. Class 8 (i). In a suction cleaner nozzle 1 Fig. 1, comprising resilient longitudinal lips 18 Fig. 3 mounted on wheels 6 carried by colinear ends 5 of a rotatable axle 3, the latter has a curved or looped portion e.g., a double crank 7 adjustable to different positions whereby the wheels 6 are adjusted relative to the nozzle and the height of the lips adjusted relative to the surface being cleaned. As shown the axle 3 is in two parts having the ends 5 inturned to prevent the wheels from falling off. Crank adjustment is effected by a helical cam surface 9 of a notched ring 8 held by a spring-pressed ball 16. In a modification the loop 7 Fig. 4 is large enough to pass over the suction pipe 2 and has a pawl 38 engaging one of a series of setting notches 30. In a further modification the crank 7 Fig. 6 is adjusted by a cam disc 40 rotatably mounted on a pin 42 beneath the suction tube 2.
