Class 52(v) A stair-carpet fastener comprises a U- shaped clip member with its lower arm 113 slit to form an outwardly directed tongue 114 which engages behind an upstanding part 101 of a bracket 10 attached to the stair. The outer arm 111 of the clip is set at an angle .so a canting force is set up to ensure firm engagement of the clip section of the bracket.
