Abstract

685,409. Flowmeters. KONENKAMP, H. Jan. 31, 1951 [Feb. 6, 1950], No. 2451/51. Class 69 (i). To prevent it freezing up, the orifice of a differential-pressure gas flowmeter comprises a casing, having an inlet and outlet for the flowing gas, and containing a number of nozzles or apertured screens disposed one behind the other and so arranged that the gas whirls between adjacent nozzles and the temperature is restored to its initial value. The whirling motion may be achieved by having the nozzles a relatively staggered.
