Class 64 (i) [Also in Group XL (a)] A combined electrostatic precipitator and heat exchanger comprises a rotatable housing carried by a rotor 28, and divided by an intermediate shell 140 into an outer section containing the precipitation electrodes 40, and an inner section containing the heat exchanger elements 152. The gas flow is as shown, the gas passing through a fixed ionizing section 16, and then through the precipitating electrode and heat exchanger sections.
