Abstract
A process of producing carbonyl metals of small particle size and uniform size distribution comprises thermally decomposing the carbonyl in the free space of a reactor while the metal produced is deposited on liquid nuclei formed in the free space by condensation of vapours of a liquid which boils above the reaction temperature. The said vapours may be produced from a mixture of about 26.5 per cent diphenyl and 73.5 per cent diphenyl oxide. Specifications 269,677, [Class 72], and 284,087, [Class 82(i)], and U.S.A.
