Abstract

680,030. Electric condensers. DUBILIER CONDENSER CO. (1925), Ltd. Jan. 26, 1951 [Feb. 28, 1950], No. 5079/50. Class 37. An electric condenser consists of two discs A, B of dielectric material, at least one of which has metal coatings on both sides, the discs being clamped by a bolt G about an opening in a conducting wall C, the bolt being connected to one of the conducting layers and at least one of the discs A, B has an annular recess to co-operate with the aperture in the wall. As shown, both discs have metal coatings, and the bolt G is connected to the outer coatings D<SP>1</SP>, El, while the inner coatings D, E are connected to the wall C but not to the bolt. The condenser acts to bypass high-frequency energy in the lead H passing through the wall C.
