679,092. Agricultural implements. HUMBERSIDE AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS CO., Ltd., LEVERETT, E. G., and WALSH, G. March 27, 1951, No. 7102/51. Class 6(i) Operating gear for moving tractor borne seed drills, tools, and like implements into and out of operative position comprises an operating lever 5 movable relative to a toothed quadrant 4 to which it may be locked by a spring loaded pawl 9, a link 18 pivoted to the lever 5 and a movement transmitting lever 12 to which is attached a plate 16 provided with a slot 17 formed with two recesses 17<SP>1</SP> 17<SP>2</SP>. The free end of the link 18 is provided with a member 19 which engages in the slots 17<SP>1</SP> 17<SP>2</SP>. The lever 12 is pivoted on a member 14 and is provided with a tube 20 in which slides a rod 21 provided with an abutment 23 and which is connected to the tools or implements. With the member 19 situated in the recess 17<SP>2</SP> as shown in Fig. 2, downward movement of the lever 5 will raise the rod 21 to lift the tools from the ground. The tools are lowered into working position by gravity causing the lever to be raised. Further upward movement of the lever causes the member 19 to engage in the recess 17, as shown in Fig. 3. When the lever is now lowered the tube 20 is lowered to compress a spring 22 and urge the tools into the ground. Specification 647,571 is referred to.
