Abstract
677,826. Spray-producers. LUCAS, Ltd., J. Feb. 2, 1951 [Feb. 11, 1950], No. 3552/50. Class 69 (iii) [Also in Group XI] A liquid fuel injection nozzle of the swirl type has a pair of coaxial liquid fuel swirl chambers and associated discharge orifices, and means for supplying at least one of the chambers with at least two independent fuel streams. A body part a provides separate fuel supply passages b, c and d formed by concentric tubular parts, and these passages lead to three series of passages m, n, and o, in a plate e. Passages m, n, and o lead to circumferentially spaced holes in plates f-j which lead to three series of passages t, w, and x. The latter are directed tangentially into the swirl chambers r and u having discharge outlets s and v respectively.
