Abstract
675,716. Retractive switches; snap-action switches. MINNEAPOLIS - HONEYWELL REGULATOR CO. Jan. 22, 1951. [Jan. 23, 1950] No. 1652/51. Class 38 (v). Pressure by a button 23 or other device on a lever 53 pivoted at its L.H. end carries the R.H. end of a compression spring link 54 down till it crosses a dead-centre line 86, 92 after which the spring causes the rapid upward movement of a rigid tension member 56 pivoted at 92 to a driving member 57 pivoted at 96 ; the member 56 moves from a stop 82 to a stop 81 and in so doing carries the point 86 through a line 92, 96, causing the driving member 57 to snap upwards about its pivot 96. In the form shown the driving member carries pivoted to it at 103 a plate 102 in two slots in which are the ends of two movable contact springs 29 carrying contacts 21 adapted to move between fixed contacts 37, 36.
