Class 20(iv) A reinforced concrete floor slab is provided with an extra thick upper surface 4 that serves as a compression slab, with reinforcements 5 prefabricated therein and projecting laterally to connect the slab to adjacent slabs or to girders. Several slabs positioned end to end are connected to form beams by filling the recesses 3 therein with concrete and a cavity 9 may be provided beneath each recess to eliminate moisture on the under face of the slab.
