Abstract

675,021. Agricultural implements. HUMBERSIDE AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS, CO., Ltd. Aug. 14, 1950 [May 18, 1949; June 1, 1949], Nos. 13267/49 and 14752/49. Class 6(i) [Also in Group XXXI] In an agricultural tractor consisting of three separable parts, viz. a rear part having a power unit and driven road wheels, a centre implement-carrying part and a front steering part, as described in Specification 665,693, [Group XXXI], the centre part comprises a single tubular chassis member having a tubular cross member whose ends carry supports which are interconnected beneath the chassis by a shaft on which pivot, and are axially adjustable, a number of arms to which implements may be..connected. As shown, the tractor comprises a rear part having a power unit 2 and frame 1, a centre part having a frame 12, and a front steering part 25. The centre part is clamped to the rear part as described in Specification 665,694, [Group XXXI], and to the front part as described in Specification 665,695, [Group XXXI]. The centre part comprises a tubular frame member 12 and a cross member 17, 18, to the ends of which are secured vertical supports 39, 40. The lower ends of supports 39, 40 are joined by a shaft 19 on which are pivotally mounted a number of arms 20, e.g. as described in Specification 675,071, each being capable of axial adjustment along the shaft e.g. as described in Specification 575,891, each arm having an implement 21 attached thereto. The arms 20 are each pressed into contact with the ground by spring-loaded thrust rods 41 and may all be lifted by a transverse rod 42 carried by pivot arms 43, 44 either by means of a hand lever 22 or by a hydraulic lift. The shaft 19 may be braced from the frame member 12 by brackets 45.
