Class 110(iii) [Also in Group XXIX] A liquid fuel supply system for an internal combustion prime mover to which air is supplied by a blower, e.g. a gas turbine, has means to vary the air fuel ratio in response to variation of the blower delivery pressure. As shown in Fig. 1, the adjustable swashplate d of a fuel pump b which delivers fuel to nozzles s of the prime mover is adjusted by a servopiston h under the control of a hinged leak-off valve o itself adjusted by an evacuated capsule w subject to blower delivery pressure and by a piston x exposed to the pressure between two restrictions 8, 9 in a leakoff passage 7 from the fuel delivery conduit f between the pump and the nozzles s. A hinged leakoff valve 10 which controls the passage 7 is actuated by a diaphragm and evacuated capsule assembly 14, 21 to which the blower inlet and delivery pressures are communicated through passages 19, 20 respectively In another arrangement, an evacuated capsule 23, Fig. 2, adjusts a throttle 22 to set up in the fuel conduit f a pressure difference as a function of blower delivery pressure, and this pressure difference, as modified by the restriction 8, 9 and pressures before and after the throttle 22 the valve 10 is applied to the piston x. In a modification of the latter arrangement, two pistons of different areas take the place of the piston x. The pressures before and after the throttle 22 are applied to the outer faces of the two pistons whilst the space between the pistons has a connection, under the control of a piston valve actuated by the diaphragm and capsule assembly 14, 21, to the conduit f.
