672,451. Rotary cultivators. ROGERS, D. C. May 17, 1950 [May 23, 1949], No. 12343/50. Class 6(i) Relates to rotary cultivators of the type having a transverse rotor A mounted in bearings C in a fixed draught frame B. According to the invention, the end face of the rotor carries one or more shearing blades D which co-operate with a ledger blade E secured to the .draught frame B to cut vegetation which would otherwise become entangled with the rotor shaft. The blades D may be either straight or curved and the blade E is adjustable by means of bolts B' engaging slots in the blade.
