Abstract
671,578. Windows. COOK, J. S. June 15, 1950 [March 1, 1950], No. 5184/50. Class 20(iii) A reversible window 1 is pivoted at 2 in a frame 3 the part of the window below the pivots 2 being smaller than that part above the pivots 2 thus enabling the lower part of the window to pass through the upper part of the frame during a 180 degrees rotation of the window. A double weather seal is effected at 4, 4a. In one alternative arrangement a smaller upper part of the window is arranged to pass through the lower part of the frame, other arrangements including bearings located in any one of a plurality of predeterminable positions in the horizontal plane, or on a vertical axis. A friction disc is mounted on the pivot for securing the window in any open position, the usual type of lever type latch being used to secure the window.
