Abstract
689,330. Door-operating appliances. STANMORE SPRINGS, Ltd. Oct. 5, 1950, No. 24373/50. Class 65 (i) Means for coupling the vertical spindle of a floor spring to a swinging door, for enabling the closed position of the latter to be adjusted, comprise a channel member 5 adapted to be fitted to the edge of the door 4, a separate end block 6 fitted to the end of the channel member, a socket member 8 rotatably mounted in the end block, and a lever 10 projecting from the socket member into a channel in the member 5, the lever being engaged by a threaded spindle 11 traversing the said channel and accessible from either face of the door. Both upper and lower edges of the member 5 are of channel form, the upper channel accommodating the door and an extension 7 of the end block, and the lower channel the lever and spindle. The member 8 is formed with a square socket 9 for the spindle of the floor spring.
