Abstract
669,627. Dough-sheeting or gauging apparatus. OAKES, E. T. Feb. 16, 1948 [April 24, 1946], No. 31134/50. Divided out of 669,549. Class 87(ii) The apparatus comprises a pair of rollers positioned to form a narrow gap therebetween, one of the rollers being at least 22 inches in diameter and the other being greater or less than 22 inches in diameter, but, if less, not substantially less. The rollers may be driven at different peripheral speeds. If one roll is smaller than the other, its peripheral speed may be greater than that of the other, so that the sheet of dough will be carried by the larger roller. The rollers may be hollow, and heating or cooling medium may be supplied thereto to cause one of them, e.g. the larger, to carry the dough sheet. Both of the rollers may be 22 inches in diameter, or one or both of them may be larger than 22 inches. Rollers up to 36 inches may be used. One roller may be 22 inches and the other 21 inches.
