669,375. Cooking stoves. ALLIED IRONFOUNDERS, Ltd., ELLIOT, R. G., and BLUMSON, E. J. June 26, 1950 [Aug. 25, 1949], No. 22105/49. Class 126. In a' stove of the kind comprising a vertically disposed fire unit having upper and lower parts separated by a flexible seal, and a laterally extending flue structure supported on an oven and carrying the upper part of the fire unit, the oven structure is supported by screw-adjusting means and a combined hot-plate and hopper is supported on the upper part of the fire unit by screw adjusting means. The fire unit of a cooking stove is formed in two parts and the lower part 5, provided with a grate and ashpit, is supported from the base of the stove by adjustable screws 8. The stove has upper and lower ovens 2, 3 respectively, the upper oven being supported on the lower oven by adjustable screws 9. A later-. ally extending flue struc 10 is carried by the 'upper oven 2, and supports the upper part 4 of the fire unit. Soft asbestos rope 5b provides a flexible seal between the parts of the fire unit, and a combined hot plate and hopper 13 extends through the upper part of the fire unit. The hot plate 13 is adjustably supported on the upper part of the fire unit 4 by screws 13b, a flexible seal 4d being provided between the hot plate and hopper 13 and the tire unit 4. A removable auxiliary hot plate 11, covering an opening in the flue structure, rests on the machined upper surface of a seating ring 14, which is adjustably supported from the flue structure by screws 14b. A flexible seal 15 is provided between the seating ring 14 and the flue structure. The fire unit, hot plates and upper oven may all be independently levelled during the assembly of the stove.
