668,949. Supporting lamp globes. MARINOF, V. Feb. 21, 1950, No. 4399/50. Class 75(ii) The globe 1 of a lamp secured to a vehicle is releasably clamped between two jaws 3, 4 rigidly secured to carrier members 5, 6 which slidably engage e with each other. The carrier member 6 has a down-turned rim 13 which slides on an upturned rim 11 on the carrier 5 and is guided by lugs upstanding from the carrier 5. A spring blade riveted to the member 6 at the root of the jaw 4 engages the underside of a strap 18 on the carrier 5 and a screw prevents outward relative movement thereof. A lamp within the globe engages a socket 22 on the jaw 4 and a spring-urged socket 23 slidable in a tubular member 20 secured to the jaw 3. The globe 1 has holes for the passage of the lamp sockets and fits against the jaw 4 and into a dish-shaped element 21 slidably mounted on the tubular member 20.
