Abstract

357,095. Lamp shade &c. holders. BARTLEY, J. S. W., 6, Sydney Place, Fulham Road, London. June 12, 1930, Nos. 18031 and 20382. [Class 75 (ii).] A globe or shade holder for electric lamps comprises a resilient-armed self - expanding spider member within a body member having a rear portion 16 and a forward portion 14, the rear portion and the spider member being clamped between the inner end of the lamp holder and a pendant hook 10, a ceiling plate, or a bulk head plate, whilst the forward portion is resiliently engaged by the arms 13 of the spider member and is free to move axially relatively to the rear portion, without first being released from a locking device, so as to contract or expand the ends of the spider arms into or out of engagement with the outturned rim of the glove or shade 15. In the form shown in Fig. 3, the forward portion of the body member is in the form of a sleeve 18 slidable on the cylindrical lower end 19 of the rear portion 16.
